Live

One fake number. Is the real answer more or less?

More or Less is a party trivia game built around one simple decision: is the real answer higher or lower than the number on screen? Every round gives you a claim and a believable but incorrect number. Make your call before time runs out, then see the verified figure and source context.

Choose from curated topics or enter any custom topic on demand. Curated rounds draw from our verified Cloud Firestore fact bank (built by our Fact Foundry); custom topic decks are generated live by our Go microservice (agent-go) on Google Cloud Run using Gemini 3.5 Flash Lite with mandatory Google Search Grounding and deterministic DDM-4 distractor math. Disputed claims are re-checked by our Gemini 3.8 Flash fact ombudsman. Want a preview first? Read how the higher lower game works, or start with the Player FAQ.

Google Cloud Project

Google Cloud & Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform pipeline

More or Less combines low-latency Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform inference and Google Search grounding with deterministic verification so generative rounds never hallucinate numbers.

01

Hot-Path Grounded Streaming

Uncached custom topics route via OIDC to agent-go on Google Cloud Run, invoking Gemini 3.5 Flash Lite with google_search grounding. Each stream emits a grounding_receipt verifying web queries and support spans before our deterministic DDM-4 kernel derives the decoy number.

02

Fact Foundry & Gemma 2 SFT

Our offline Fact Foundry crawls topics with Google Search grounding on Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, verifies claims against authoritative sources, precomputes distractor sweeps, and promotes audited facts to Cloud Firestore. Active facts export via agent-go export-sft --format vertex to fine-tune Gemini and Gemma 2 9B adapters.

03

Fact Ombudsman & Ops Copilots

Player disputes trigger our Autonomous Fact Ombudsman on Cloud Run, where Gemini 3.8 Flash runs adversarial Google Search checks and evicts debunked claims. Our ops console (ops.snaptapp.us) is a TanStack Start app on Cloudflare Workers, gated by Firebase Auth admin claims, with role-managed server functions over Cloud Firestore fact curation and dispute queues. Gemini powers the Daily Blitz Strategist, Report Review Copilot, and Placement Insights copilots.

Two ways to play

Solitaire Mode

Solo speed-run, fully playable offline. The client runs the match without a server matchmaker, using a 200-question offline qualified serving-snapshot deck generated via DDM-4.

The 60-second absolute wall clock keeps running when you background the app. A 1-second question preview and 750 ms feedback window keep the sprint self-paced.

Unlimited permanent skips award 0 points; skipped questions never repeat. Your personal Top 10 is saved locally on device, and self-reported runs sync to Firebase Functions when online.

Arena Mode

Live, server-authoritative multiplayer managed by Cloudflare Workers Durable Objects (ArenaMatchmaker, ArenaEvent SQLite). Public lobbies start 20 seconds after the first human joins, or immediately at 100 entrants.

If fewer than 8 humans join, seeded bots fill the lobby to 8: easy 60%, medium 75%, hard 90%. All entrants receive the same frozen deck and advance independently over WebSockets.

A 60-second server match clock, 1-second preview and 750 ms private feedback govern play. Skips are allowed, with 2,000 ms client lag tolerance. Ranked matches are saved with server verification.

Scoring & standings

Both modes use signed integer scoring (launchScore). Correct answers earn up to 1,000 points, decaying by 1 point per 10 ms after the 1-second preview:

1000 − floor(max(0, responseMs − 1000) / 10)

Wrong answers: −500 points. Skips and unanswered questions: 0 points.

Arena standings sort by score descending, then total answer time ascending, then entrant ID as the final tiebreaker.
